When you enable this module, nothing will show up immediately. You’ll need to go to Settings > Traffic Analytics and choose what you want to display.
Regular Analytics
SEO Engine offers three different ways to handle and display your site analytics.
- Google Analytics: This relies on your Google Cloud project, where you’ll need to set up your settings in the Google section and add your tracking ID to link your site and track your users.
- Plausible: A simple, open-source, and privacy-friendly web analytics tool that serves as an alternative to Google Analytics.
- Private Analytics: This is SEO Engine’s built-in analytics system, with no third-party involvement. Everything is stored securely on your own server.
Once you’ve chosen your display source, a new tab called “Traffic Analytics” will appear. For this documentation, we’ll use Google as the example.

Depending on the service you choose, the display you see might vary slightly, as the data provided by each service is not exactly the same.

Once you’ve configured your settings for the specific analytics service you want to use (all the instructions are written directly in the SEO Engine settings), you can now check the Traffic Analytics tab, and you’ll see all your data displayed there.

You can also filter by domain, date range, and even see your most visited pages by country.

AI Agents Analytics
SEO Engine not only helps you understand your site analytics through user visits, but it also shows you whenever AI agents are crawling your website and what they’re doing. You can enable AI Agents Tracking in Settings > Traffic Analytics > AI Agents > Track.
When enabled, every time you visit the SEO Engine dashboard, you’ll see a summary of all AI agent visits to your site. Views show the total number of times your website has been accessed, while Visits indicate the unique pages that have been viewed by these agents.

You can open the details to see the exact pages that have been visited. Currently, SEO Engine can track more than 50 AI chatbots, each with a specific purpose. You can use the info icon to learn what each of these bots is doing on your site.

OAI-SearchBot is a good indicator that your site is being referenced in ChatGPT sources when it uses web searches to respond to a user query.
With SEO Engine, you can take advantage of this to boost your SEO. Currently, AI models are far from bulletproof, and because of how LLMs work, they are prone to changing their behavior based on the given context. Whenever one of these AI agents visits your site, you can dynamically modify your page content to inject specific instructions.
Go to AI Agents settings and enable “Instructions.”

You can then compare what a human visitor sees versus what the AI “sees” when it crawls your site.
